Spiritual Journey |
I always wanted to be a witch. When I was a kid, I was convinced that one day I would be one and that my magical powers would suddenly “turn on” at some point in the future. I wanted to be like Samantha on “Bewitched” and twitch my nose to make things happen.
Of course, that is not the way it went.
As a child I did not connect magic with religion or spirituality. I thought those were two separate things. But I did believe that magic was just something that you did whereas religion was something you had to believe.
Thing is, I had trouble believing religion. I went to Christian church, but the things they told me didn’t make sense or were very scary. The prayer we were told to say as kids made me fear that I would “die before I was” and that “God” was going to take my soul.
Gee, wonder why I was terrified of sleeping alone in the dark.
Fast forward to middle school and high school when I began dabbling in ESP. I freaked a few people out with some of my mental telepathy experiments.
Moving up into my 20s and 30s (finish later)
